What is this song about?The song is about a young woman who courageously takes part in protests and street battles. In the midst of tear gas, violence and riots, she fights against social injustice and political decisions that nobody wanted – except the majority. Despite her mother’s warnings and the risk of ending up in prison, she sees it as her duty to take back the streets. As the “Slingshot Girl”, she symbolizes the young resistance: determined, rebellious and full of rage – but also with a sense of justice and hope for change.
