Shortly after our successful “Coming Home” tour through Germany with several sold-out shows, we are continuing our tour. We are loudly setting the next exclamation mark. With our new single “Slingshot Girl”, we are once again making a clear musical statement. Feminism against fascism – supported by a spectacular music video, which is released shortly afterwards.
Slingshot Girl: The rebellion has a new face and a new song
Rebellion has a new face: our new song “Slingshot Girl” tells the story of a young rebel who rebels against expectations, rules and boundaries and stands up for a fairer world with courage and a slingshot. Musically, there is a fitting soundtrack to Labor Day: driving Celtic punk that ignites from the first beat.
Punk icon Jenny Woo on board as special guest
Special guest: Jenny Woo, the Canadian punk icon, known for her energy, clear attitude and songs that go straight to the heart. Her determined voice lends the story an uncompromising authenticity.
A woman and her guitar! Jenny Woo is not only extraordinary in the Oi! scene, but also a shining star and world-famous. Reason enough to introduce her to you. Born in Edmonton, the capital of Alberta, Jenny first came into contact with the punk rock scene at the age of 13.
Her story is typical of many who could not identify with their classmates in their youth and rejected mainstream music and the values associated with it. In search of her own identity, she discovered bands like Operation Ivy and fell in love with the music of Cock Sparrer and Cockney Rejects. This passion led her to learn guitar, play covers of her favorite bands and eventually write her own riffs and lyrics.
Over time, she found her place in the Oi! scene, which reflected her values of self-esteem, companionship and loyalty, and began attending Oi! bands and gigs, which helped anchor her in the subculture.

More InformationSlingshot Girl Mia hunts down band members
The accompanying music video underlines the message impressively: filmed in Gevelsberg (including at the viaduct) and in the basement of a Wuppertal cinema, it uses intense images, smoke and pyrotechnics – the fire department was deployed several times.
The story: The Slingshot Girl observes six men committing crimes and hunts them down in her own way – dark, intense and uncompromising. Due to the violence of the images, there will be a censored and an uncensored version on YouTube. In the leading role: Mia Callaghan (violin).
