POGOA – a continuation and a new beginning at the same time
The Pott of Gold Open Air, now affectionately known as POGOA, is both a continuation and a new beginning. We are reviving the O’Reilly Open Airs and festivals at a new location. New location, new name – of course. This time at the Ennepebogen in our home town of Gevelsberg, Little Dublin. At the Pott Of Gold Open Air (POGOA) you can look forward to a great line-up and a wonderful summer’s day in hopefully non-Irish weather.
In addition to a special show from us, you can expect a colorful mix from the European Celtic rock scene.
Why Little Dublin?
The Ennepebogen in Gevelsberg is super easy to reach, whether you arrive by car, public transport or even by motorhome. Here are a few tips on how to get there:
Arrival by bus and train
Gevelsberg is well connected! There are several bus stops near the Ennepebogen:
- Gevelsberg Town Hall/Lusebrink
- Gevelsberg Mitte (Mauerstraße)
The most important lines are, for example, the SB38, the 551 or 556. The
- Gevelsberg Central Station
is not far away if you arrive by train. From there it is only a few minutes walk.
By car
The Ennepebogen is generally easy to reach by car. However, there is only a limited selection of parking spaces near the Ennepebogen. We have listed the parking options and their known restrictions:
- Großer Markt parking lot: no parking regulations, but there is still a senior citizens’ fair in the pedestrian zone
- Gevelsberg main station: only half of the parking area is available due to a construction site
- Lusebrink parking lot: max. 2 hours
- Kaufland multi-storey parking lot: chargeable, check the opening hours!
Charging stations for e-cars
There are charging points at various locations in Gevelsberg, for example:
- At the town hall (Großer Markt)
- At the Sparkasse (Mittelstraße)
- At the Weststraße parking lot
We recommend traveling by public transport.
What is the line-up like?
We are delighted to be able to announce the first band. It is none other than our friends from Saint City Orchestra from Switzerland.
Saint City Orchestra
Performances in countries such as Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Holland and Italy followed in quick succession until finally the opportunity arose to go on tour with Fiddlers Green. This opened up new horizons and led the band to numerous legendary clubs as well as great festivals.
What really sets the Saint City Orchestra apart is not just their songs, but rather the rousing performances and the exuberant party atmosphere they ignite at every gig. This unique combination of unbridled passion and pure joie de vivre transforms their live shows into unforgettable spectacles.
We have already been able to experience their energy several times and are delighted that they will be playing for you at the Pott of Gold.

FOCUS. is planning a new album and thus a heavy year. With cosmopolitan lyrics and dirty riffs, being normal is celebrated as high culture.
With support shows for bands of distinction such as Sondaschule and Rogers, two previously released EPs and an album in tow, the Riesa band are now heading for other ports with their new album. Under vocal power and cigarette smoke,
the goal remains the same: to say goodbye to the familiar, find specialness in the unusual, chat nostalgically about the future and do it all with a small beer in hand.
The things are packed. It can begin.
Doppelbock
The 5 musicians from Gelnhausen (near Frankfurt) in Hesse move somewhere between folk and punk rock, not least because of their instrumentalization (drums, bass, guitar, accordion and mandolin). Even though many of their songs are equipped with a good portion of self-irony, they also find their way to more serious topics again and again.
The group skillfully bridges the gap between classic punk songs and folk ballads with hidden social criticism, without straying too far musically. After their debut album “So schön” in 2021 and several single releases, they will finally release their second album “zu jung für nostalgie” in 2025. Whether it’s a club show or a festival, as befits a group of this musical genre, Doppelbock create a great atmosphere at their live concerts, have already played several support tours and shared the stage with bands such as: Doro, Versengold, Schandmaul, Warkings, Kärbholz, Oomph and many more.
Ticket to Happiness
What happens when a father, his son, a banjo and a violin meet? Passionate folk sessions, boozy pub nights and a rousing mix of Irish folk and rock! What started as a small school project quickly turned into more – the search for happiness led to Ticket to Happiness.
With energetic songs in German and English, they tell of Irish legends, wild nights and real life – sometimes to sing along, sometimes with a strong message. Their sound combines the raw power of folk rock with the joie de vivre of a pub evening. Handmade music to celebrate, dance and feel.
Driven by Evan Fitzpatrick, a singer with Irish-American roots and a rebellious attitude, the band has long been more than just music – it is family, passion and an invitation to enjoy life.
