The internationally acclaimed Irish folk punk band “The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats” from Gevelsberg has announced the release of their sixth single “Bareknuckle Fighting” – a brilliant final look ahead to the album “Wake the Rebels”, which will be released on September 22, 2023. From September 28, 2023, all songs from the album tracklist can be heard live on a nationwide tour.

“Bareknuckle Fighting” is an acoustic mass brawl. An energetic song that addresses the themes of anarchy, resistance and the fight against injustice in the world. With powerful lyrics and rousing chords, the band takes their audience on an emotional journey.

The band has already released some varied singles from their upcoming album, including “Wake the Rebels” feat. Pat from “Fiddler’s Green” and most recently “Land of Tomorrow” feat. Annie Hurdy Gurdy from “Eluveitie” and have already inspired a loyal fan base. The dynamic and powerful songs of the album, which thematically all carry the spirit of the album title “Wake the Rebels”, testify to the versatility and passion of the band and promise catchy tunes with their rousing rhythms and melodies.

In addition to the album release, “The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats” is about to embark on an exciting tour of Germany, during which they will visit the cities of Munich, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg, among others. Fans have the opportunity to pre-order the album “Wake the Rebels” on the www.paddyhats-shop.com website and secure tickets for the tour.

The video premiere for the single “Bareknuckle Fighting” will take place on September 24, 2023 on the band’s official YouTube channel. The video was shot in two parts: The first part takes viewers to the picturesque La Charité-sur-Loire in France, a charming town with 4,600 inhabitants. This is where the video experiences an atmospheric and emotional depth. The second part of the video was filmed in an old industrial wasteland in Ennepetal. This raw and authentic setting provides a striking contrast to the first part of the video and underlines the message of resistance and rebellion.
