Liebe Paddyhats-Familie,
We would like to turn to you. We know that we should have done this earlier. However, there were a few things to clarify. Now we unfortunately have to tell you: After everything that has happened, the Paddyhats will not play any more concerts for an indefinite period of time.
On 20.01.2026 our singer Paddy also left the band of his own accord.
The past few months have brought us to a point where we had to consciously take a step back. Not out of indifference, but because this band and everything associated with it means a great deal to us. This time has taken its toll on us both personally and emotionally. People with whom we have shared stages, paths and special moments for many years are no longer part of the band. Friendships have been broken. That hurts. At the same time, we have been very touched by your reactions over the last few days. Your sympathy, your questions, your thoughts – as well as your critical voices – show us that the Paddyhats were always more than just a band.
There was a personal incident between two band members. The details are private and will not be made public. We respect that the people directly involved decide for themselves if and how they want to talk about it and ask you to respect this boundary.
Tensions, different expectations and points of view that have existed for a long time have become clear in the course of time. Conflicts arise when people work together with great commitment and responsibility over many years. In this case, they could no longer be resolved together.
Thank you to all the band members who have left. The time we spent together, the music and the many experiences will remain a formative part of our history.
But what we can say with conviction: The Paddyhats were always more than just a specific line-up. They stood for music, joie de vivre and community. And this idea does not exist without you. You were and are an essential part of what has carried this band – in both loud and quiet times.
Thank you for your loyalty, your patience and your support over all these years. Thank you for 15 years of Paddyhats history, which would not have been possible without you.
